Rich accompanying festival programme again this year

Tonight the 17th Mountain Film Festival begins, which will screen 29 films over five days in Ljubljana, Domžale, Radovljica and Celje. This year too, the film programme will be enriched by an accompanying programme with four lectures and one thematic discussion. Their experiences will be shared at the lectures in Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana by mountaineers Andrej Štremfelj, Bor Levičnik, Žiga Oražem, Matija Volontar, Anja Petek and Nejc Marčič. At the discussion evening on mountaineering literature, Bogdan Biščak, Dušan Jelinčič, Silvo Karo, Matevž Lenarčič, as well as Marija and Andrej Štremfelj will reflect on reading and writing.
Monday, 13 February, at 20.00: Bor Levičnik, Žiga Oražem and Matija Volontar - On friendship that is more than a climbing rope
Tuesday, 14 February, at 20.00: Nejc Marčič – Top mountaineer, winner of the Golden Ice Axe in 2012, on his mountaineering experiences even in bad weather and difficult conditions.
Tuesday, 14 February, at 18.00: Bogdan Biščak, Dušan Jelinčič, Silvo Karo, Matevž Lenarčič, as well as Marija and Andrej Štremfelj - Thematic discussion We Read Mountains, on mountaineering literature.
Thursday, 16 February, at 18.00: Andrej Štremfelj – In the anniversary year, the first part of the legendary mountaineer's autobiography has been published, and he will speak about Crystals of Luck.
Friday, 17 February, at 20.00: Anja Petek - The mountaineer from the Upper Savinja Valley will take us on paths of will on the last day of the festival.
