The technical team of path maintainers of the Alpine Association of Slovenia was fully occupied last week. At the end of the working week, its members renovated the path to Škrlatica, just a few days later also the very demanding mountaineering path to Jalovec.
On 23 and 24 September 2016, members of the PZS technical path maintainers' team carried out a technical work action on a very demanding section of the mountaineering path that leads from Kotovo sedlo to Jalovec.
In the work action, they renovated the safety devices, replaced 90 m of steel cables and removed unstable rocks that threatened path visitors. They warn, however, that there is still a danger of falling rocks in the wider area of the mentioned path, as the rock is quite friable and consequently a lot of scree accumulates on the path. We urge caution and the use of a helmet when venturing onto this mountaineering path! The path is otherwise normally passable and therefore reopened.
