Serious accident of a climbing pair on Kalška gora

Two climbers who were roped together on the eastern side of Kalška gora fell several tens of meters down and sustained serious injuries.

The Kamnik Mountain Rescue Service was informed today around 10:30 that two climbers roped together on the eastern wall of Kalška gora had slipped and fallen several tens of meters down.

The injured climbers were assisted by rescuers from GRS Kamnik, with the help of a Slovenian Army helicopter and the on-duty mountain intervention team; both injured were treated and then transported by helicopter to UKC Ljubljana for treatment.

According to initial reports from the Ljubljana Police Administration, both climbers sustained serious bodily injuries in the fall.
