On Saturday, 25 August 2007, Slavko Šetina died of a heart attack in the clinical centre. Mountaineers knew him primarily as a mountain rescuer and guest on the morning show Dobro jutro on Pop TV (MMTV), where he hosted the weekly trip section. Recently he also wrote mountaineering trips for Žurnal. Slavko Šetina, known as a great mountain lover, contributed a lot to the Kamnik mountain rescuers as he organised a radio amateur course and exam. He also ensured that mountain rescuers received personal radio transmitters. The stations enabled faster and more effective rescue of accident victims.
The funeral will be today, 31 August 2007, at 18:00 at the little church in Rove. Two hours earlier, the urn with his ashes will be in the mortuary chapel at the cemetery by the church in Radomlje.
