Slipped from Prisojnik and Died

The accident occurred when an 81-year-old man from Ljubljana and a 32-year-old US citizen set off from the direction of Tičarev dom on Vršič towards Zadnje okno. Since they did not reach the summit of Prisojnik by 18:30, they turned back and began returning towards Tičarev dom on Vršič along the southern Slovenska pot. After approximately three hours of walking, the 81-year-old Ljubljanan began to lag behind. For a safe descent, he stayed on the path, while the other hiker went for help to Tičarev dom.
Even before the rescuers arrived, the 81-year-old hiker slipped down the steep slope and died at the scene due to severe injuries.
