Last night it snowed in the mountains, with the most snow falling in the Julian Alps, around 30 cm. As precipitation will continue in the coming days, the risk of triggering snow avalanches will gradually increase. The most snow will fall in the high mountains of the Julian Alps, where up to around 1 m more could accumulate by the end of the week. There will be less precipitation in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and on Pohorje, where there will also be some sun. Currently in the Julian Alps at 2500 m there is a good 300 cm, at 1500 m around 200 cm, around 2 m of snow remains in the high mountains of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, while at 1500 m there is 50 to 100 cm. There is less snow on Pohorje, where at 1500 m there is still around 50 cm.
