Snow blanketed the highest peaks on 30.6.2014

Overnight and in the morning, it rained relatively heavily in most of Slovenia, but in the mountains, especially above 2200 m, it also snowed during the latter part of the precipitation. The most snow fell on the highest peaks of the Slovenian mountains, where locally up to about 20 cm fell. On Kredarica, where the official ARSO station is located, 10 cm of snow fell. Total (including the old snow) there is still 100 cm of snow on Kredarica.

As it will be warmer in the coming days, the new snow will melt quickly, but the old snow, which melts more slowly, will remain.
