Snow blanketed the mountains overnight 6.9.2015

Yesterday, precipitation occurred in most parts of Slovenia, initially it was raining even on the highest peaks, but towards evening it started to cool down. During heavier precipitation, the snow line dropped below 2000 m, in some places even below 1700 m.

In the high mountains, up to about 10 cm of snow fell, less at lower elevations. Since cold weather will continue in the coming days, the snow, especially in the gullies of the high mountains, will remain for a few more days, but lower down it will melt quickly.
