New snow, weak layers persist deep in the snowpack
Since Saturday, 10-20 cm of new snow has fallen above about 1600 m elevation. It snowed with moderate southwest wind, which built small snow drifts on the leeward sides. In addition to the new snow, weak layers in the snowpack located deeper in the snowpack pose a problem. There are more such weak layers on slopes above the forest. With significant load exceeding the carrying capacity of these layers, a larger avalanche can also be triggered.
On Monday, precipitation will occur in the second half of the day. The snow line will be around 1500 m elevation, with an estimated 20-30 cm of new snow falling. The avalanche danger will increase in the high mountains due to the new snow. In the mid-mountains, it will initially rain. The rain will destabilize the snowpack, and wet snow avalanches may occur.

Snowpack
Danger signs
dp.1: deep hard slab weak layer
In the old snowpack, the snow layers are mostly well bonded together, with a crust on top that mostly supports the weight of a skier. Deep below the surface, several weak layers of facets and rounded grains appear.
On the old snowpack, 10-20 cm of new snow has fallen since Saturday above about 1600 m elevation. During snowfall, graupel may have fallen locally, representing a new weak layer. On Monday, an additional 20-30 cm of new snow is expected in the second half of the day.

Weather
Initially some clear skies, clouding over in the morning. In the afternoon, cloudy and foggy with precipitation. The snow line will initially be around 1500 m elevation, lowering in the evening. Initially light wind of variable direction, in the evening light to moderate northeast wind. Temperature at 1500 m around 2 °C midday, at 2500 m around -4 °C.

Outlook
The avalanche danger will remain the same.
