Avalanche danger in the high mountains is moderate
In the high mountains there are still some areas with wind-packed snow where under greater load a slab avalanche can be triggered. Weak layers in the snowpack also pose a problem. If the load exceeds the carrying capacity of deeper weak layers, a deep and large avalanche can be triggered. There are many such weak layers especially on shady slopes above the forest.

Snowpack
Danger patterns
dp.1: deep hard weak layer
dp.10: spring conditions
The snowpack freezes at night, during the day it softens mainly on sun-exposed slopes. With warming, snow transforms more intensively on sun-exposed sides, the process is less pronounced on shady slopes. In the old snowpack, several weak layers of facets and rounded grains appear deep below the surface.

Weather
Initially clear, in the afternoon some variable cumulus clouds will form. In the morning and forenoon mainly in the high mountains a mostly weak northerly wind will blow, in the afternoon a weak southwesterly will blow. At midday the temperature at 1500 m will be around 4, at 2500 m around -2 °C.

Outlook
The danger of triggering snow avalanches will remain similar.
