Snow has blanketed the highest peaks

With today's passage of the cold front, the snow line has dropped below 2400 meters, and a few centimeters of snow have fallen in some places.



Forecast for the mountain areas (ARSO) Wednesday, 10.8.2016 at 11am

Today it will be cloudy and foggy with precipitation. The snow line will drop to around 2500 m above sea level. Weak to moderate winds from northern or eastern directions will blow. Temperature at 1500 m will be around 7 during midday and afternoon, at 2500 m around 2 degrees C.



Tomorrow it will be variably cloudy and foggy in places. During midday and afternoon there will be local showers, snowy above around 2100 m. Weak to moderate northwest wind will blow. Temperature at 1500 m around 8, at 2500 m around 1 degree C.



On Friday it will be partly clear with occasional increased cloudiness. In the morning there will be fog in some lowlands. On Saturday and Sunday it will be mostly clear. Warmer.
