Snow has blanketed the mountains

A cold front has passed through Slovenia, bringing not only precipitation but also a noticeable cooling. At 2500 m altitude, the air cooled to about -3°C, and the snow line dropped below 1800 m in places, with a few cm of snow falling above that altitude.

Today it will initially be cloudy with precipitation. The snow line will be between 1500 and 1800 m above sea level. By midday, precipitation will cease and clearing will begin from the northwest. A light to moderate northerly wind will blow. Temperature at 1500 m around 5°C, at 2500 m around -2°C.
Tomorrow it will initially be mostly clear, clouding over in the afternoon. Showers may form especially on Pohorje and in the eastern part of the Kamnik Alps. Mostly moderate northerly wind. Temperature at 1500 m around 5°C, at 2500 m around 0°C.
On Wednesday and Thursday partly clear and fresh, especially in eastern Slovenia northerly wind will continue to blow, on the Primorska light bora.
