Špremova Path to Grintovec Restored and Reopened

Špremova Path from Dolška škrbina to Grintovec restored and reopened.

The technical group of PZS trail markers composed of members of mountaineering clubs from the Kamniško-Bistriško area carried out demanding restoration works on Špremova Path, which leads from Dolška škrbina to Grintovec, on 14 and 15 August 2026. After several years of closure, the path has been restored and reopened.

The leader of the work action, Franci Skok, emphasized that the two-day restoration of Špremova Path was completely successful. On the first day, 30 m of steel cable, 4 double foot pegs and 1 handhold peg were installed in the landslide area, thus enabling safe passage on the path. A more difficult section of the path near the junction of mountain paths between Grintovec, Kočna and Mlinarsko sedlo was also additionally equipped. On the festive 15 August, passages on the scree and over rock jumps below the scree were repaired and arranged with pickaxes. On both days, the markings between Dolška škrbina and Grintovec were also completely restored.

8 trail markers and one female trail marker from the mountaineering clubs of the Kamniško-Bistriško area of mountaineering clubs participated in the work action. Together, they completed 210 voluntary work hours. Sincere thanks to all!
