Dear Sir/Madam!
On the website of the burgher corporation, we can read the notice.
https://mkkas.si/2026/03/obvestilo-o-sanaciji-vetroloma-v-dolini-kamniske-bele/ "Notice on the remediation of windthrow in the Kamniška Bela valley
March 16, 2026
The Agrarian Community of the Burgher Corporation Kamnik informs the public that extensive remediation of the windthrow in the Kamniška Bela valley will presumably begin on April 1, 2026. The works will presumably last two to three months, depending on weather conditions.
Details on the works and restrictions:
Location: Remediation will take place at the end of the Bela valley, opposite the Orglice (Orličje) waterfall, where the construction of new tracks, logging, and timber extraction will occur.
Obstructed path to the waterfall: On the path (tracks) leading to the Orglice waterfall and Presedljay, timber transport with forestry machinery will take place. Access will be occasionally obstructed, so we ask for strict adherence to the instructions of machine operators and workers on site.
Closure of the path to Presedljay: The hiking path towards Presedljay will be completely closed for a few days during the works. Please check the PZS website for exact closure dates:
https://stanje-poti.pzs.si/. Safety warning: For safety reasons, movement in the immediate work area is strictly prohibited.
Visitors are asked to follow the posted signage and warning signs. Works will take place on weekdays.
Thank you for your understanding and patience."
Dear (public) mail recipients (readers of the post can also forward to the "competent" ones), we are interested if you can provide a public notice or explanation that we will publish, who permitted the construction of new tracks in the protected forests of Kamniška Bela, who is behind this undertaking of final destruction of the last somewhat preserved areas of nature in the central part of the Grintovci, who removed the sign reading "forest reserve" at the beginning of the K. Bela valley, and who will be responsible for the consequences of environmental changes.
How will you act against this senseless activity?
Since everyone can see how the (recently perhaps even unjustly returned) Bistrica forests are being treated, where logging is taking place, thoughtless digging of all kinds of roads, which are all new torrents, causing huge damage, we are interested who will finally take responsibility (also) for the (already) caused damage.
The luxuriant growth of wood in the once carefully maintained Bistrica forests and now already logged individual areas is (almost) unparalleled in Slovenian forests. The Rzenik Wall, which collapsed into the Kamniška Bela valley five years ago, is a telling example that nature should be left alone. The Rzenik Wall, which will probably collapse again soon, will (also) cover part of the thoughtless human interventions in this space, where they already "by hand" dug the idyllic "riding (dug) path" for King Alexander. Every drop of engine oil (and there will be many, believe us) that flows to the ground will sooner or later further pollute the already "rocky" water drunk by Kamnik residents and locals.
The forestry profession, the nature conservation institute, and others from numerous offices who irresponsibly sign permits have proven with their actions (also) in the broader area of Velika Planina that they cannot be trusted, that due to permitting thoughtless interventions, numerous lives in the valleys below the soon saffron Planina have been endangered. During the "reconstruction," consequences of thoughtlessness were being addressed, new problems that are already manifesting were added, and not a single cause was eliminated. If anyone needs evidence visible even from space, if anyone doesn't believe and can't find it themselves, we can easily show it...
In the Kamnik municipality, environmental protection has not been working for nature for some time.
Stop the ecocide on nature and the massacres on people will stop!? Let Bela (also Lučka, Robanova, etc.) be proof that we can change our attitude towards the mountain world as well.
Orlje gnezdo
Boris Režek (1966): ... The deserted valley between Zeleniški špice and Vršič was losing its former charm. Only chamois were still wandering their paths through the scrub and green patches. In spring, the wood grouse would rumble in the hollows under Petkove njive, a startled ptarmigan would take off, and a flock of black grouse would flutter down along the walls.
It is certain that some eagle pair will return to one of its old nests in Uženjaki and raise its young. But everything that once was will be no more. Perhaps someone will still pass through those hidden green patches with mountain flowers, but all the stories that happened there in the wilderness will then be forgotten forever.
