There is a high risk of slipping in the mountains!

Because last week it mostly rained in the mountains or wet snow fell, the snow cover softened significantly and then froze with the cooling at the end of the week. Since the snow in the mountains has frozen, it is now hard and dangerous for slipping. Over the old icy base there are locally a few cm of dry snow, which is mostly wind-blown into drifts.
Crampons and ice axe are mandatory for visiting the high mountains.
