Three lives extinguished in the mountains

On Thursday, a 62-year-old man from Ljubljana set off from the Vrata valley towards Dolkova Špica. As he did not return by evening, his relatives notified the police. A rescue operation was carried out involving mountain rescuers, police, and a helicopter. The missing person was found dead under Dolkova Špica on Friday around 13:00. A slip almost 100 m deep was fatal for the victim.
On Friday, while hiking from Molička Planina towards Korošica, a hiker suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite prompt assistance from mountain rescuers, the hiker died at the scene.
The third accident occurred on Friday just before 13:00, when a hiker fell on the path from Kisovec to Velika Planina. Due to severe injuries, the hiker died at the scene of the accident.
