Up to 50 cm of snow fell in the mountains 17.2.2011

Due to the large amount of freshly fallen snow, the risk of triggering snow avalanches has increased in the mountains. The most snow fell in the hilly part of western Slovenia, where up to 50 cm fell.



Height of freshly fallen snow at avalanche stations:

Kanin 50 cm (total 290 cm)

Vogel 38 cm (total 132 cm)

Kredarica 27 cm (total 345 cm)

Krvavec 25 cm (total 32 cm)

Rateče 10 cm (total 26 cm)

Vernerica pod Uršljo goro 8 cm (total 8 cm)
