Via ferrata Ožarjeni kamen is CLOSED!

The secured climbing route, also known as via ferrata Ožarjeni kamen, where a tragic accident occurred due to a collapse a few days ago, runs through very crumbly terrain and is therefore very dangerous for users. The via ferrata is not properly equipped and does not have the appropriate permits or consents.
The starting point is secured with police tape, so the use of the via ferrata is not permitted until further notice.

The Alpine Association of Slovenia advises against venturing into the secured climbing route Ožarjeni kamen. Climbing in it is deadly dangerous.

At the same time, we inform you that the mentioned climbing path is not a registered hiking trail with the Alpine Association of Slovenia, so we cannot formally close it. The access ban is marked by the Police with police tape.
