Vrbanove Špice safe again

The action started on the morning of 7.8.2015 and ended on 9.8.2015.



The women's part of the team carried out marking to Staničeva koča from Kota, Krme, complete Rjavina, Vrbanove špice, Cmir, Begunjski vrh and Staničeva koča to Kredarice. The technical team installed and concreted poles with direction signs at five locations, four of which are on Krkinih poteh.



The technical part of the team performed restoration of protections between the two Vrbanovima špicama using the gluing technique with two-component Hilti mass. We thank all hikers who respected the path closure, so that now the bolts are safely glued into the crumbly part of the pillar, which is in the photos ... remaining protections are still done with larch pegs. The gluing technique is very inconvenient because the drying time is at least 24 hours and during this time no one should load the installed protection so that the two-component mass can harden and the protection can be loaded. On crumbly terrain like the mentioned part, however, the gluing technique is probably the only one that allows safe protection installation, and the durability of the work will ultimately be shown by time.
