The road over the Vršič pass (1611 m) was built by Russian prisoners during World War I. It is also dedicated to them, the Russian Chapel, located on the Kranjska Gora side of the road.
The road connects Gorenjska and Primorska and is a popular excursion point for cyclists; mountaineers often choose it as a starting point.
The road has 50 hairpin turns, which is also the correct answer to the previous survey.
