Description:
Grgetov rt (also known as Grgetov Rt, Punta Fontane, Rt Fontane or Rt Grgeta) is a small cape on the western coast of Istria in the Istrian County in Croatia. It is located approximately 3 km west of the center of Funtana and 4.5 km south of Poreč. It lies between Cape Jurina and Funtana Bay and forms part of the picturesque Istrian coast along the Adriatic Sea. The cape is flat and low (height around sea level), with a typical Mediterranean landscape: crystal-clear water, small bays (e.g. Uvala Frnažina and Uvala Funtana) and nearby olive groves and vineyards. Hiking and cycling trails (including maintained paths on AllTrails) run in the vicinity, leading directly to the cape. Nautically, it is important as a landmark for Funtana harbor (Luka Funtana), which lies only 2.8 nautical miles south of Poreč. Grgetov rt is a typical Istrian natural spot, ideal for nature lovers, sailing and peaceful walks by the sea. Although not a major tourist attraction, it offers an authentic experience of the Istrian coast with beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea and nearby peninsulas.
