The saddle is located 4 km west from the center of Oberreith and 7 km southwest from the center of Sankt Gallen. The nearest mountain hut is Lahnalm, located 3km south. A little further is bivouac Oberreith bei St. Gallen. Northeast of the saddle is the valley Frenzgraben.
