Description:
Forca del Rio Fontanis is a saddle at an altitude of 1875 meters located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The saddle is located 2.0 km west of peak Monte Cimone. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Giacomo di Brazzà, located 7km east. A bit closer is bivouac Bivacco C.A.I. Cividale "Sandro e Mauro", which is located 1.8km to the east-northeast. North-northeast of the saddle is the valley Val Canale.
