The saddle to which the marked trail leads is located 5 km west-southwest from the center of Cave del Predil and 7 km south from the center of Valbruna/Ovčja vas. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Guido Corsi, located 0.8km south-southwest. bivouac Bivacco C.A.I. Gorizia is also relatively close. North-northwest of the saddle is the valley Valbruna.
