The saddle is located 3 km north-northeast from the center of Ebene Reichenau and 7 km west-northwest from the center of Hochrindl. The nearest mountain hut is Untere Vastlhütte, located 3km west-northwest. Closer is Våstlhütte, which is located 2.0km to the northwest. 5 km northwest of the saddle there is lake Turrachsee. The saddle is located east-southeast of the valley Leobengraben.
