Passo di Pietena is a saddle at an altitude of 2147 meters located in the Dolomites mountain range. The saddle is located 1.7 km east of peak Monte Pavione and severo-severozahodno above the mountain pasture Malga Vette Piccole. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Giorgio Dal Piaz, located 2.0km south. A bit closer is bivouac Malga Vette Grandi, which is located 1.1km to the south. West of the saddle is the valley Val Cesilla.
