The saddle is located 4 km east-northeast from the center of Bad Hofgastein and 5 km northeast from the center of Anger. The nearest mountain hut is Grußberghütte, located 1.4km south-southwest. Even closer is Purcher Jagdhütte, which is located 1.1km to the north-northeast. The saddle is located northwest of the valley Kleinelendtal.
