The nearest mountain hut is Berggasthof Edelweiss, located 1.4km southeast. A little further is Jagerbachlstube. 2 km northwest of the saddle there is lake Vorderer Langbathsee. Southwest of the saddle is the valley Weißenbachtal. The saddle is located below the ridge Alberfeldkogel Nordgrat.
