The saddle is located 12 km south-southwest of Galtür and 13 km south-southeast of Partenen and 0.2 km north-northeast of peak Ochsenkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Wiesbadener Hütte, located 2.0km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Ehemalige Zollwachhütte. 3 km east-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Vadret d'Urezzas, 3 km north from the saddle there is also glacier Madlenerferner. The saddle is located above the valley Ochsental.
