Achkogel is 2313 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km north of peak Hütteltalkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Berndlalm, located 5km southeast. A little further is Niederalm. 7 km southwest from the summit there is glacier Weißkarkees, 7 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Wildkarkees. The peak is located northeast of the valley Krimmler Achental.
