Ameiskogel is 1518 meter high peak. The peak is located 3 km southeast from the center of Steinberg am Rofan and 5 km west-southwest from the center of Aschau. The nearest mountain hut is Sonnwendjochhaus, located 4km south. Closer is Kühlermahd, which is located 1.4km to the west. 7 km southeast of the peak there is lake Reintaler See. The peak is located east-northeast above the mountain pasture Enteralm. The peak is located in the valley Unterinntal.
