Aukogel is 1118 meter high peak and is part of the Kitzbühel Alps. The peak is located 3 km north-northwest of peak Hohe Salve. The nearest mountain hut is Rahmhof, located 5km west-southwest. A bit closer is Moderer-Hochalm, which is located 4km to the east-northeast. 6 km north-northeast of the peak there is lake Hintersteiner See. The peak is located in the valley Sölllandl.
