Description:
Bauernkogel is 840 meter high peak and is part of the Upper Austrian Prealps. The peak is located in country Austria 3 km west-southwest of peak Scharnsteiner Spitze. The nearest mountain hut is Hochsalmhütte, located 6km east. A bit closer is bivouac Scharnstein Wolfsiedlung, which is located 2km to the northeast. Southwest of the summit is the valley Weißenbachtal.
