Description:
Beistein is 813 meter high peak and is part of the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 1.5 km west-northwest from the center of Erdwegen and 2 km north-northeast from the center of Pongratzen. The nearest mountain hut is Schutzhaus Masenberg, located 6km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Freiluft-Klasse. North-northeast of the summit is the valley Murtalgraben.
