Blauenstein is 279 meter high peak. The peak is located 1.8 km west from the center of Edelstal and 3 km north-northeast from the center of Prellenkirchen and 1.1 km east-southeast of peak Spitzerberg. A little further is bivouac Hundsheimer Hütte. North-northeast of the summit is the valley Hainburger Pforte.
