Creta di Val Avanza is 2076 meter high peak located in the Carnic Alps mountain range. The peak is located 5 km north-northwest from the center of Avoltri and 5 km northwest from the center of Forni Avoltri. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Pier Fortunato Calvi, located 1.2km west-northwest. And Casera Sissanis di Sotto is also close by. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Val Degano.
