Falken is 1433 meter high peak and is part of the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 4 km south-southwest from the center of Lassing and 5 km east from the center of Palfau. The nearest mountain hut is Brunnecker Hütte, located 6km east-northeast. A bit closer is bivouac Palfau Erzhalden, which is located 3km to the west. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
