The peak is located in country Austria 1.9 km north-northeast from the center of Fuschl am See and 3 km northeast from the center of Brunn. The nearest mountain hut is Gamswandalm, located 7km south-southeast. Closer is bivouac Schoberhütte, which is located 0.2km to the northeast. 3 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Fuschlsee. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Klausbach.
