Description:
Geißwand is 872 meter high peak with a registration box and a cross and is part of the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located in country Austria 1.2 km west-southwest from the center of Traunkirchen and 3 km north from the center of Ebensee. The nearest mountain hut is Sonnsteinhütte, located 1.4km south-southeast. A little closer is bivouac Traunkirchen Siegesbach, which is located 0.8km to the east-southeast. The peak is located northeast of the valley Weißenbachtal.
