Description:
Gitzenberg is 919 meter high peak with a registration box and a cross in the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located in country Austria 4 km northeast of peak Gurlspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Spielbergalm (Gollegg), located 10km south-southeast. Closer is bivouac Thalgau Schwertlbrücke, which is located 4km to the northeast. 6 km east of the peak there is lake Fuschlsee. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Klausbach.
