Gran Vernel is 3210 meter high peak located in the Dolomites mountain range. The peak is located 1.7 km west-northwest of peak Marmolada. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Contrin, located 2km southwest. Closer is bivouac Bivacco Marco Dal Bianco, which is located 1.9km to the southeast. 4 km east-northeast of the peak there is lake Lago di Fedaia - Lech de Fedaa.
