Graukogel is 2492 meter high peakon which a cross stands located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.6 km north-northwest of peak Palfner Seekogel. The nearest mountain hut is Graukogel Bergstation, located 1.3km north-northwest. And Reichebenhütte is also close by. 5 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Tischlerkarkees, 6 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Grubenkarkees. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Kleinelendtal.
