Großer Geiger is 1723 meter high peak with a cross in the Hochschwab Mountains. The peak is located in country Austria 3 km southwest from the center of Hinterwildalpen and 7 km southwest from the center of Wildalpen. The nearest mountain hut is Pfaffingalm, located 7km southeast. Closer is Hirschbodenhütte (Jhtt.), which is located 3km to the east. 7 km southwest of the peak there is lake Leopoldsteiner See. Northeast of the summit is the valley Im Tiefen Grund.
