The peak is located 9 km northeast from the center of Grundlsee and 13 km east-northeast of Altaussee and 3 km south-southeast of peak Großer Woising. The nearest mountain hut is Albert Appel-Haus, located 4km west. A bit closer is bivouac Jagdhütte Widerkar, which is located 1.2km to the south-southwest. 0.7 km northeast of the peak there is lake Wiesenlacke. The peak is located east of the valley Rettenbachtal.
