Hinterstein

Description:
Hinterstein is 1048 meter high peak and is part of the Kaiser Mountains. The peak is located 3 km southwest of peak Hochegg. The nearest mountain hut is Kaindlhütte, located 4km northeast. A little further is bivouac Schwoich Bäckerei Schellhorn. 1.6 km east-northeast of the peak there is lake Hintersteiner See. The peak is located above the valley Gaisbachtal.
