Description:
Hochkogel is 1591 meter high peak with a cross and a summit register in the mountain group Totes Gebirge. The peak is located 7 km south-southeast from the center of Roith and 9 km south from the center of Ebensee. The nearest mountain hut is Ebenseer Hochkogelhütte, located 0.3km southwest. And Nestler Jagdhütte is also close by. The peak is located northeast of the valley Rettenbachtal.
