Hoheneck is 1165 meter high peak in the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located 3 km north-northwest from the center of Russbach and 4 km north-northeast from the center of Schwarzenbach. The nearest mountain hut is Buchberghütte, located 5km northwest. A bit closer is Seegasthaus Alm-Stadl, which is located 1.7km to the south-southwest. 12 km northwest of the peak there is lake Mondsee. The peak is located southeast of the valley Klausbach.
