Il Grottone is 830 meter high peak. The peak is located 1.2 km west from the center of Minozzo and 2 km east-southeast from the center of Sologno. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Monte Orsaro, located 5km south. A little further is bivouac Ricovero Rio Grande.
