Description:
Karkopf is 1496 meter high peakon which a cross stands in the Chiemgau Alps. The peak is located 6 km north-northwest from the center of Sachrang and 8 km northeast from the center of Erl. The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzrieshütte, located 2km south-southwest. A little further is Gammern Diensthütte. The peak is located above the valley Trockenbachtal.
