Description:
Kogel is 304 meter high peak and is part of the Türnitz Alps. The peak is located 1.0 km east from the center of Ornding and 1.0 km west from the center of Matzleinsdorf. The nearest mountain hut is Schutzhütte Peilstein, located 16km northwest. A bit closer is Gifthütt'n Franz, which is located 7km to the south. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Nibelungengau.
